For the 14th edition in a row, iRunFar is covering UTMB!
This year, the UTMB course is 176 kilometers (109.3 miles) long with almost 10,000 meters (32,500 feet) of elevation gain as it encircles the Mont Blanc massif from Chamonix, France, through Italy and Switzerland, before finishing back in Chamonix.
The race starts at 6 p.m. CEST (10 a.m. MDT in the U.S.) on Friday, August 30.
The UTMB course records are held by Courtney Dauwalter, who set the current women’s record at 22:30:54 in 2021, and Jim Walmsley, who set the current men’s record at 19:37:43 in 2023.
We’ll be live-casting the event over on iRunFar’s Twitter feed with text and photo reports from all over the course. We’ll also be live blogging the same material as on Twitter below in this article.
