Why You Will Love This Recipe
It’s the middle of Summer and you’re using the grill a lot instead of heating the house up. Corn on the cobis also in season and it is fun to buy at the farmers market. Good corn on the cob can also be achieved without having to soak the corn or brining it first.

Tips for buying good corn on the Cob
Have you ever gone to look for corn at the grocery store and saw people peaking at the inside to see if the corn was good or not? Right now that is probably really frowned upon because of the pandemic and no one wants a corn on the cob with germs on it but there are other ways to tell if corn on the cob is good or not.
Buy at farmer’s markets instead of grocery stores,guaranteed fresh.
Look for teensy brown holes in the husk.
Tassels –the brown stuff that sticks out at the top of the corn. If they are dark or black it’s an old ear of corn.
Color of the husk –bright green and tightly wrapped around the husk.
Some stores have grocery bags that allow you to peak at the kernel,then throw all any husks.

How to Grill Corn on the Cob
Soaking Husks (optional)Corn can be grilled with the husk on or the husk off. Place the corn with husks on in a large enough vessel to store with water. This helps prevent the husks from burning.
Step 1:Preheat a grill to medium-high heat.
Step 2:Peel back the husks and remove them. Brush the corn with oil and place on the grill.
Step 3:Let the corn on the cob cook for 10 minutes and turning the corn every now and then so that all sides get cooked.
Spread butter or spritz the corn with butter spray.
Blackstone Instructions:
- Preheat the Griddle:Turn your Blackstone griddle to medium-high heat and let it warm up for about 5 minutes. You want it hot enough to sizzle water upon contact.
- Prepare the Corn:While the griddle is heating,brush each ear of corn with olive oil or melted butter,ensuring all sides are coated. This not only adds flavor but also helps in getting those beautiful grill marks. Season all over with salt and ground black pepper to taste.
- Grill the Corn:Place the corn directly onto the griddle. Let the corn cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side before turning it a quarter rotation to grill evenly. Continue this process,turning every 2-3 minutes,until all sides are grilled and the corn is tender,about 10-12 minutes in total.

Depending on the size of the corn,it can take anywhere from 10-20 minutes.
Grilling corn on the cob in foil is not necessary. If you don’t want some of the kernels to burn then wrapping in it foil is a way to prevent that from happening.
No you do not,just place it directly on the grill with or without the husks on and let it cook.
Corn on the cob can get pretty high in points fast depending on how much butter you spread on the corn. To make grilled corn on the cob WW friendly spray the corn with cooking spray and use butter spray to spritz on the corn. After 6 sprays the butter spray becomes 1 point.
