When Brandel Chamblee made a public U-turn regarding the PGA Tour-Saudi PIF deal, it was a moment that couldn’t be ignored. Anthony Kim called him out for it, using some very adult language.
However, in typical Chamblee fashion, he responded with his own dig. He also threw in a jab at Phil Mickelson for good measure.
The Golf Channel analyst responded to Kim’s tweet with a long rant.
“This is about as inaccurate as a lot of Mickelson’s drives and sadly ironical coming two tweets after you asked for advice on raising your daughter that you would refer to someone as a female body part in a juvenile attempt to denigrate them,” Chamblee wrote. “It’s clear that you were not offered disability for your pithy takes.”

The Mickelson jab came out of nowhere. However, he did not stop there and continued to explain why he changed his stance.
“As for your criticism of me saying a deal with the Saudis is the best deal for golf right now, it’s something I’ve said recently, because I don’t think the Saudis are going to turn away from the game and they will continue to be a poaching threat and dilute the product of the PGA Tour,” Chamblee continued.
“It’s the sad reality of you and your brethren on the LIV tour willingly dealing with a murderous dictator for profit so that he can hide his atrocities, that golf has had to try to figure out how to mitigate the influence of MBS, PIF and LIV in the otherwise philanthropical and merit based world of professional golf,” he wrote.
The 61-year-old closed out his response to Kim with a slight dig at his game. Kim has not played great golf since he returned to the professional game in March. He has finished toward the bottom of the leaderboard in almost every event.
“Now why don’t you get back to doing what you formerly did best, which is to wow the world with your talent,” Chamblee responded before taking a bit of a high road. “I don’t like LIV for a lot of reasons, but I certainly enjoyed your golf and would love to see you playing anything like the semblance of the golfer you used to be.”
Kim did not let Chamblee have the last word though. On Saturday morning, he came back with another response to the analyst’s long tweet.
SM is so funny when people can’t take opinions but give theirs. My focus is on my family and sobriety so I just stated truth. If u don’t like it 2 bad. I am so grateful @livgolf_league for this second chance as I know not everyone gets them. I’ll continue to call it as i c it. pic.twitter.com/vC2UN0wYtr

His caption was short and sweet, but unlike Chamblee, he does not have the option to post long Twitter rants directly on the app. Kim included a note he authored detailing a little more about his story and why he stands behind what he wrote originally.
Chamblee has not replied to this latest message from Kim, yet.
