Low sodium Blender salsa might be the best salsa and easiest salsa I’ve ever made , plus this salsa is very low in salt. You can control the amount of salt that goes into a salsa by making your own instead of going for a store bought brand.
Just throw all your ingredients into a blender and you’ll have fresh salsa just like at the restaurants.
Have you ever ate at Moe’s Mexican restaurant? It’s like a Qdoba Mexican Grill or Chipotle. They are known for their queso dip but I like their fresh salsas as well. What I like most about this salsa is that the only equipment needed to make this is a food processor/blender and it tastes pretty similar to the one salsa at Moe’s.
No cooking on the stovetop is required. I’ll probably be bringing this to the lake this summer.

What Ingredients do I need?

- Tomatoes – Whole or Diced tomatoes from a can. I know what you’re thinking. If this is a fresh salsa why not use fresh tomatoes? I like using tomatoes from a can because these types of tomatoes have already gone through the process of boiling the tomatoes and removing the skin off. If you don’t mind doing that yourself,then go ahead and use fresh tomatoes.
- Diced Tomatoes with Chilis –or 1 10oz can of Rotel tomatoes
- Diced Chilis –1 4.5 oz can
- Cilantro –fresh is best,can sub parsley
- Lime –This adds a nice burst of citrus flavor to the marinade to help enhance the choice of protein. Use freshly squeezed over bottled juice.
- Onion –yellow or white
- Chili powder–Is a blend of mixed red chilis that have been dried up and pulverized until it resembles powder. Sometimes other spices like cumin and paprika.
- Garlic –Chopped fresh garlic can take some time to chop so I often always use the freshly minced garlic that comes already made in a jar.

- 28 ozwhole or diced tomatoes
- 110oz can diced tomatoes and chiles
- 14.5oz can diced green chiles
- optional:1 jalapeño,seeded and finely diced
- ⅔ cupcilantro,roughly chopped
- juice of 1lime (or more to taste)
- ½white onion,diced
- ½red onion,diced
- 1 tablespoonchili powder
- 1 tablespoongarlic powder
- salt+pepper to taste (if you are on a low sodium diet please just omit this,if not feel free to add)
Instructions
- Add all the ingredients to a blender and pulse until well combined.
