Brock Purdy never shies away from showcasing his passion for other sports, especially baseball. Recovering from a UCL injury that he sustained on his throwing arm that spoilt his offseason last year, the San Francisco 49ers quarterback’s recent pitching shows that he is back in his best form.
Brock Purdy, 24, nailed his MLB talent at Oracle Park Stadium in San Francisco, California, thrilling the fans by throwing out his ceremonial first pitch. NFL QB took all the spotlight when he threw out his 1st Pitch against the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The reigning NFC champion astonished the crowd by tossing it against Shohei Ohtani, MLB pitcher, proceeding the Giants’ game interestingly on Tuesday evening. MLB team, the San Francisco Giants took to its official Twitter page to announce the QB‘s return. Along with sharing the short clip from the Oracle Park, the team captioned the post as “QB1 has arrived .”

Following the hype, SF Giants also shared an interesting sneak peek of the 49ers’ QB’s first pitch. Brock Purdy threw the ball in a typical baseball fashion to Giants pitcher Kyle Christopher who was not able to handle it in front of a roaring Bay Area crowd. Brock Purdy astonished the spectators, delivering a heater. The post stated, “Brock Purdy throws out the first pitch … and Kyle Harrison almost catches it 😂”
Before throwing the first pitch, the Pro Bowl’s pre-pitch practice video also went viral on social media, grabbing the eyeballs of his fans. David Lombardi, a sports journalist took to his X handle to share his practice clip. Through resharing Brock’s warming-up clip, he captioned the post, “Unlike Fred Warner, Brock Purdy is getting some pre-pitch work in. That’s Nick Zakelj catching.”
In the post, Brock Purdy was getting ready to throw out the first throw. This is not the first time Purdy demonstrated his baseball interest. During his high school years, he also played second base and shortstop for two years. Later, he chose to play football, however, he never forgot to give credit to the sport for refining changing arm angle ability as an NFL quarterback.
