Father’s Day is just around the corner, and JetBlue new points promotions helps travelers earn while picking out a gift for dad.
The promotion allows TrueBlue members to earn extra points while they shop when they go through the airline’s shopping portal, according to a JetBlue email viewed by Travel + Leisure. Members can gain points per each dollar spent on popular brands like Ray-Ban, Nike, The Home Depot, and more.
“Every gift is a chance to earn points for your next escape,” JetBlue wrote as part of the promotion. “Find the perfect expression of love and turn your shopping into jet-setting joy.”
Earn 6.5 points for every $1 spent on Ray-Ban purchases, which is more than the previous value of 5 points for every $1 spent. Travelers can also earn 6 points for every $1 spent at the Sharper Image, a significant increase from the previous value of just 2 points for every $1 spent.
Set dad up with plenty of steak for the grill and earn 7 points for each $1 spent at Omaha Steaks (it was previously 3 points for each $1 spent), or send him a Father’s Day gift basket perfect for game day from GourmetGiftBaskets.com and earn 15 points for every $1 spent (previously 5 points for each $1 spent).
Travelers can also earn 3 points for every $1 spent at Nike, 2 points for every $1 spent at Dick’s Sporting Goods, 0.5 points for every $1 spent at The Home Depot, and more.
Customers who earn TrueBlue points can redeem those toward award travel with JetBlue. TrueBlue points never expire.
Father’s Day is Sunday, June 16.
But it’s important to note TrueBlue points are different from the tiles required to qualify for the airline’s Mosaic elite status. Those are earned through qualifying spending for JetBlue flights, JetBlue Vacations, Paisly by JetBlue, and from all JetBlue credit cards. Travelers earn one tile for every $100 in qualifying spending on JetBlue travel and one tile for every eligible $1,000 spent on any JetBlue credit card.
