Who would have thought you can easily cook tortellini on a Blackstone Griddle? Just make sure your griddle is well heated and cleaned off first before making this.

The vegetables and sausage cook super fast on one side and they are done in less than 10 minutes. Same with the Tortellini.

This recipe is very versatile. Change up the protein and vegetables. Feel free to add in some cheese.

Ingredients Needed for Blackstone Tortellini

  • Cheese tortellini, refrigerated or frozen – can use tri colored tortellini or different flavors like sausage tortellini
  • Sausage – Any type of sausage will work, try sliced kielbasa or smoked sausage
  • Olive oil – Look for olive oils that are labeled as extra virgin, cold-pressed, and unfiltered for the highest quality.
  • Zucchini, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes, halved
  • Italian Dressing – just use the stuff that already comes in the bottle
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

How to make Blackstone Tortellini

Step 1 Prepare the Blackstone Griddle: Preheat your Blackstone griddle to medium heat. Once heated, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the griddle surface and spread it evenly.

Step 2 Sauté the Vegetables and Sausage: Add the zucchini and tomatoes to the griddle and sauté for 2-3 minutes until it becomes translucent. Then, add the sliced sausage and continue cooking for 3 minutes.

Step 3: Sauté the Tortellini: While the vegetables and sausage are cooking on one side of the griddle add the tortellini to the other. Add some butter or olive oil. To help the tortellini cook faster you can add a little bit of water to help with steam.

Step 4: Toss all the cooked food into a bowl and add in the Italian dressing and any fresh herbs if you like.

Yes you can cook pasta on a griddle. If you are making stir fry Nooldes such as spaghetti or linguini will need to be boiled prior. Tortellini does not take long to cook at all on a griddle and takes less than 5 minutes.

  • 1 package (9 oz) cheese tortellini, refrigerated or frozen
  • 1 12oz package of Sliced Kielbasa or Smoked Sausage
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 small zucchini, sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • ½ cup Italian Dressing
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, chopped (optional, for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
