Ryza Cenon proudly debuted a new look as she went bald for her role in the upcoming film “Lilim,” stressing that this is how she shows her commitment to playing her character.

The actress uploaded a vlog on her YouTube channel, showing the process of how she made the ultimate hair chop.

Not just shave, but skinhead talaga. Para sa character naman ito. Ganun talaga ako kacommitted na character, so game,” she said.

(We will now make the big decision to have my hair shaved. Not just shave, but really skinhead. This is for the character. I’m really committed to playing the character, so game.)

Cenon asserted that it has always been her dream to shave her head, and she’s glad to finally get the chance to do it now.

“Pangarap kong magpakalbo.

(I’ve always dreamed of going bald. I said, ‘When I get pregnant, I will go bald,’ but when I was pregnant, they would not let me. So, this is my chance.)

In an interview with ABS-CBN, the “StarStruck” alumna shared that the management did not ask her to shave her head as it’s her personal choice.

(They did not require it. It was my personal choice to go bald. Because for me, it is better for my character. And we did a test look; I didn’t like using the prosthetics. So I think this will also help my character more.)

Meanwhile, Hollywood actors including Cate Blanchett, Natalie Portman, Demi Moore and Charlize Theron, among others, have also shaved their heads in the past for movie roles.
