A high-octane cameo has taken over the Hayward Field in the U.S. Track and Field Olympic Trials. Thinking of Snoop Dogg, you might just be relating him to the chart-topping hits, his signature West Coast style, or maybe his venture into the cannabis industry. However, this weekend, the legendary rapper added a new chapter to his storied career. On the second day of the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials at Hayward Field, Snoop Dogg made a memorable debut on the track.
World champion Noah Lyles, fresh off a blazing sprint to qualify for the 100m semifinals, has announced an upcoming fashion walk-in with Snoop Dogg on day three of the Trials. While fans were already going gaga over his presence in the stands as he cheered for Lyles, he has made a way to their hearts yet again with his playful yet impressive sprint. Snoop Dogg made his track debut at 52 clocking a striking 34.44 seconds over 200 meters. And to add more to the star power, he was flanked by none other than former sprint champions, Ato Boldon and Wallace Spearmon, as his pacemakers. After the sprint, Snoop Dogg himself acknowledged the fact that 34.44 for a 52-year-old “ain’t bad”.

Snoop could be spotted sitting beside Keisha Caine Bishop, the proud mother of Noah Lyles. Snoop watched intently as Lyles effortlessly dominated the 100-meter preliminary heat. The 52-year-old track debutant supported Lyles from the stands, but his presence electrified the stadium.
