Flying between two of the busiest airports in the world just got easier.
Frontier Airlines, a discount air carrier based in Denver, recently announced new service connecting New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) and Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). In celebration of the new service, the airline is selling discounted tickets at only $29.
The new, daily service will begin on August 13, 2024, just in time for the busy end-of-summer travel season, and upcoming holiday rush. The airline previously announced new daily service from JFK to Las Vegas, which will also begin on August 13.
“We’re thrilled to announce this new service at JFK, offering area consumers affordable and convenient travel to Atlanta and beyond,” Frontier Airlines vice president of network and operations design Josh Flyr shared in a statement to Travel + Leisure.
The discounted promotional fares of $29 to Atlanta, and the previously reported $89 fare sale to Vegas must both be purchased by 11:59pm EST on July 3, 2024 to take advantage of the savings. There are also restrictions of which days travelers can fly, so it is important to review the terms and conditions before purchasing.
The Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport is the busiest airport in the world. More than 104 million passengers flew through the airport in 2023, which was a 11% increase from 2022, according to airport data.
The airport is a major hub for Delta Air Lines, and nearly every airline operates service to the airport including Alaska Airlines, American Airlines, Avelo, Southwest, and United. The airport itself has become a popular destination as it is home to a variety of shops and restaurants including Brooks Brothers, Kiehl’s, MAC, Samuel Adams, SPANX, and more.
New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport has also been upgrading its customer amenities. Delta Air Lines recently opened a brand-new Delta One Lounge, and Chase recently opened a Sapphire Lounge.
