With respect to currently ongoing Wimbledon, Coco, after her loss to Navarro, revealed her mindset to be a good contender at the Games. “I mean honestly my mind is on the Olympics and especially in doubles. I wouldn’t say I’m not looking at the Olympics but I’m looking at us as a team, and how can we improve to be a good contender for a medal in the Olympics. Coz we haven’t played much this year.”
Reflecting on how to get over this disappointing loss quickly, she admitted she has the ability to raise her level much higher than she did in that match. “I definitely have to learn from today because it’s not going to be the first or last time that a player plays a great match against me, and I have to figure out when those moments happen how to raise my level.” However, the worrying factor for all American tennis fans is that she doesn’t have much time on her hands to up her game.
