Can I make it without the spice?

Of course! Be sure to remove the seeds from the jalapeño, or feel free to omit the jalapeño altogether.

Tips for making strawberry mango salsa with avocado

  • Don’t go too ripe. Make sure all of your produce is slightly firm and not overly ripe. This will help the salsa stay fresh and keep it from getting mushy.
  • Chop everything evenly. Dice your fruit into small, equal-sized pieces so that you get a little bit of everything in each bite. Check out all of my tips and tricks for how to cut a mango here, and how to cut an avocado here.
  • Dice the potent ingredients. Dice the red onion and jalapeño even smaller so that their flavors aren’t overpowering. Learn how to dice an onion here!
  • Add lime juice. Don’t forget a squeeze of lime juice! This will help the avocado stay fresh and avoid browning.
