I LOVE lavender-flavored anything in the summertime! I thought this HoneyΒ LavenderΒ Lemonade was our peak in making lavender beverages, but this Frozen Lavender French 75 takes it to another level.

Crisp and refreshing, this frozen summer cocktail is a beautiful way to elevate an evening. The lavender syrup infuses the French 75 with delicate floral notes that balance the tart punch from the blended lemon and the botanical notes from the gin. Topping it off with champagne turns this simple drink into a dazzling experience!Β 

This drink couldn’t be easier to make. After blending all the ingredients, pour it into a glass, top with champagne, sip, and repeat. Cheers!Β 

  • Turbinado Sugar: Or demerara sugar to rim the glass.

What’s The Best Gin For A French 75?Β 

The best gin to use is your favorite gin! Since this drink is made with lavender, I recommend using a more botanical-forward gin like Hendricks or Empress 1908 gin, which are both more floral-forward than more juniper-based gins.

Learning how to make simple syrup is so easy! You basically simmer equal parts sugar and water together until it becomes a syrup.

You can then add herbs or extracts to make a flavored syrup and let them sit for a few minutes before removing them. The longer you allow the herbs to stay, the more intense the flavor will be, so taste test every few minutes!

Is This A Sweet Cocktail?Β 

This recipe isn’t too sweet; we prefer a more tart French 75. You can easily adjust the sweetness level by using more or less simple syrup!

By pressing down on the lemon mixture with a spoon, you’ll ensure that there are really no lumps or lemon membranes lingering in the mix. You want this to be a super smooth mixture!Β

  • Wet the top of four glasses roll the top of each glass in turbinado sugar and set aside.

  • Blend the lemon and water together in a high-powered blender. Blend until completely smooth.

  • Pour the lemon mixture through a fine sieve, using a spoon to assist the mixture through the sieve.

  • Pour the sieved liquid back into the blender and add the gin, syrup, and ice.

  • Blend on high until the mixture is thick and frothy.

  • Pour the slush into 4 separate glasses and top with champagne.

  • Garnish with a lemon and enjoy.

  • The flavor of this cocktail will depend on the type of gin used. We suggest using a milder gin.Β 
  • We prefer a tart French 75, if you would like a sweeter cocktail, add more simple syrup.
