***I was going to post this later on in the month but realized the 25% off sale ends tomorrow, 8/3! I wanted to make sure that you got a chance to get these pieces at an amazing deal!***
Today’s post is sponsored by Athleta. I will forever be a fan of their amazing clothing and their mission to help women and girls feel empowered through movement by creating pieces that help you get out to do the things you love to do. One of the most important things I am trying to teach my kids is that being outside and moving our bodies can fix many of our problems while helping us gain confidence and joy. Having comfortable gear that moves with you makes the entire experience that much better. I also truly appreciate how long Athleta’s clothing lasts (no matter how many times I wash them) and how perfectly they go from your workout to the rest of your day.
I’m unsure if I’ve told you this, but I’m training for a marathon;). It will be my 21st marathon, and I have a feeling that it’s all going to come together on October 5th. Between having a solid group of women to race it with, more belief in myself than ever, training that is building a strong base, and learning how to quiet the lower mind (the excuses and fears) while focusing on the higher mind (focus, power, and flow)… A sub 2:45 at the St. George Marathon is going to happen.
I’m giving this one my all! I’m following every word my coach gives me, spending time each day on recovery and nutrition, and training my brain to learn how to be in a state of flow.
I’ve been very reactive in the past when it comes to racing, allowing things to bother me leading up to race day or during the race, but this time, I’ll be so lost in the flow and focused that those things won’t touch me.
Long story short, thanks for hanging out with me while training for the last 18 marathons (I did 3 marathons before I started blogging). I’m positive we’ve all grown together mentally and physically over the years. This fall we are all going to have some PRs… I can feel it.
Let’s get into chatting about my current favorites from Athleta that I’ll be training with to help me reach my goal. Get 25% off ENTIRE purchase *exclusions apply.
The Mesh Racer Run Mid Rise 4″ Short! The material on these shorts shocked me initially because of how light it is! You barely feel anything. The 4″ inseam gives the perfect length, and Athleta always offers the best colors. There is a zippered pocket big enough for your phone and another for a key, credit card, or AirPods case. The drawstring is a continuous one, which means it’s not going to come out, ever, and I love the mesh detailing at the bottom aesthetically and because it adds in a nice breeze along the way. The waistband is so comfortable and hits in the perfect place.
The Momentum Seamless Top. Welcome to the top I’ll be wearing all the time this fall and winter. It is perfect on it’s own and will make for the best base layer this winter. I’m going to need it in all of the colors they offer. The seamlessness of this top and the material = my softest long-sleeve yet. I love that it has thumb holes and a grip band at the base to avoid riding up as you run (<- aka it avoids one of my biggest clothing pet peeves… I do not want to adjust my clothing while working hard out on the roads).
Now for the Interval Stash High Rise Leggings… I am not ready for leggings weather to begin, but these leggings make me way more okay with the inevitable. They have pockets on both legs that can store everything I need, which is required for me and my leggings. I love that they offer an inseam for regular, petite, and tall lengths. These are made with their highest-compression material, which makes them perfect to run in but also so comfortable to live in the rest of the day.
Last but certainly not least, the Interval Bra. They offer this bra for A-C cups and also D-DD+, and it works amazingly well for running. I love the colors (remember when running gear only focused on function? I’m here for function and fun colors;). Everything stays in place during easy runs or speed workouts with this bra, and I haven’t had to adjust it in the slightest during the run. I will always steer you right when it comes to how pieces of clothing feel on the run. This bra is golden.
Whether you run, go to the gym for some weights, or do a yoga session in the mountains… Athleta has you covered. Their pieces last for years while moving with you through all of the accomplishments you are hitting!
And their material is so soft that it even slows Beck down for a few seconds to cuddle me;)
No matter how adultish life gets, we can’t lose ourselves in the daily tasks, I hope you can find time each day to do what makes you feel alive.
I would love to hear about any running goals that you have right now!
Have you done anything to help you with your mental game yet?
What is making you feel strong or confident lately?
