Snow, Snow Everywhere: Watch Twitter Is Overwhelmed By #Snowfall

For the last whole week, heavy snowfall is been recorded in the northern areas of Pakistan. Tourists from all over Pakistan thoroughly enjoy the snow in different parts like Murree, Chitral, Swat, Galliyat, and others.

The Bureau of Meteorology reports that the current rainy weather system in the country may intensify in Balochistan from Thursday and expand to higher areas on Friday.

Heavy Snowfall in Naran Kaghan 

Heavy snow in the Kagan Valley in Pakistan has blocked traffic on the Mansehra-Naran Galkhad (MNJ) highway. Kagan, Naran, Galiyat, and Thaniani ushered in the first snowfall of the season and it is expected to continue. The snowfall in Naran city is more than 2.5 feet, Kagan is 1.5 feet, Babusar Top is almost 3.5 feet, and Jaliyat and Thanyani are 8 inches. The temperature in Naran and Kaghan dropped below zero.

Naran Kaghan is a famous tourist destination. Because of the pleasant weather during the peak season, thousands of tourists flock to the valley to explore each year. The Kagan Valley is located in the Mansehra District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan. The Tourism Bureau of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province has planned three major ice and snow tourism activities, including the Snow Sports Festival in Swat and Chitral, to provide tourists and adventure sports enthusiasts with better facilities.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Government is working hard to promote winter tourism. This year, despite the temperature dropping to zero, most hotels in Naran, Kaghan, and Sujran are still open to tourists.

Provincial police warned truck drivers and motorists not to use the Mansehra-Naran-Galkad highway from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Gilgit-Baltistan because of heavy snow in the upper part of the Kagan Valley in recent days.

Tourists and locals who want to visit the Kagan Valley can only freely head to Naran, the picturesque commercial center of the valley.

 

Murree is overloaded with tourists.

The upper areas of Hazara Province continued to snow throughout the day, accompanied by rain and thunderstorms, isolating the snow-affected areas from the rest of the area.

A large number of tourists came to Galiyat to enjoy the snowfall. The third snowfall in the current winter began in Hazara Province on Sunday morning. Moreover,  the snow was up to 8 inches and the fire was as high as one foot.

It is understood that another cold wave hit Hazara Province. Also,  the plains and mountains in the area continued to rain and heavy snowfall. It snowed in Abbottabad, Pakot, Galiyat, and Thandiani. While the upper Manshera province including Shugran, Kaghan, and Naran was hit by heavy snow.

Galiyat Development Authority (GDA) and C&W Snow Removal and Heavy Machinery are working to make the main Muri Road open to traffic. While some connected Bakot Road, Nathiagali Thandyani Road, Patan, Pahaler Road, Ayubia, Khanaspur Road, Khara Gali, and Palak Roads have been closed,

According to the weather forecast, in the next 48 hours, rain and snow will continue to fall in the Hazara area, especially the upper part. The Forestry Development Agency (GDA) also issued travel recommendations. However, requiring tourists to use snow chains and avoid roadside parking in areas affected by snow.
