Travel to Europe during shoulder season just got easier thanks to a new fare sale, offering round-trip tickets starting at just $359 round-trip. 

The carrier operates routes between several U.S. cities and its major hub in Lisbon, providing onward connections to dozens of destinations in Europe, Africa, and beyond. As part of this promotion, many round-trip fares to Europe in economy are priced around $400, the airline shared with Travel + Leisure

This sale, which ends on Tuesday, Sep. 17 at 11:59 p.m. ET, is valid for travel between Nov. 1 and March 31, 2025. The only blackout dates fall around the holidays from Dec. 15 to Jan. 13, allowing travelers to snag ultra-discounted flights to Europe this fall or early spring.

Travel + Leisure discovered many excellent deals worth considering on the airline’s dedicated sale page, departing from its gateway cities in the U.S.:

  • Miami (MIA) to/from Madrid (MAD): $359
  • Chicago (ORD) to/from Dublin (DUB): $380
  • Washington, D.C. (IAD) to/from Copenhagen (CPH): $389
  • San Francisco (SFO) to/from Barcelona (BCN): $399
  • Newark (EWR) to/from Lisbon (LIS) or Porto (OPO): $429
  • New York (JFK) to/from Marrakech (RAK): $519

Travelers looking for more comfort can book business class tickets for a discounted rate during the same travel period. TAP Air Portugal offers lie-flat seats from the listed U.S. cities to Lisbon, Porto, and Faro, starting at just $2,199 round-trip.  

Regardless of the fare class, travelers can even include a free stopover in their ticket when booking directly through TAP’s website, allowing them to stay in Lisbon or Porto for one to 10 nights for no extra cost. Afterward, they can continue to their final destination — whether it’s Paris, Rome, or another city within TAP’s network — all on the same itinerary, giving travelers the chance to explore two cities for one affordable price.
