Our last tempo. I wish saying having our last one felt bittersweet, but it actually just feels sweet to be done with them;).
My legs were fried on step one of the tempo, so the mantra I told myself was ‘success is trying my best,’ and I didn’t allow myself to think that I wasn’t even hitting my goal marathon pace on the tempo or the pace I did the previous time we did the same course.
I was supposed to do a double yesterday (peak week) but my body was telling me absolutely no to that plan. When I finished my morning run, I just knew the best thing I could do is rest and that would do more than trying to double.
I hot tubbed instead of doubled and sometimes you just have to make those calls. As much as I want to follow things perfectly and be an A+ student, we know our bodies best!
The medals for the Fun Run I’m putting together are done! I might have had a heart palpitation when I saw 2024 on there because I was convinced it was still 2023;)
We made my mom’s taco soup for dinner to have ready the second we walked into the house after Soccer.
it was a chocolate and…
Chill kind of a night.
The face Beck made when I read to him the sweet text his teacher sent me about how well he is doing in school.
Okay, maybe trick is the wrong word, ha, but nothing makes my kids love that I run more than when I pick up something they love to eat on my way home in the mornings. Pavolov’s Law is real.
