Tangents & Please just hang on!


Now that my niece is going to school up here, I get to run into her all around town. She is training for the St. George Marathon, too!

10 miles @ 8:28 average with some pretty exhausted legs from my Saturday workout.

My lower back felt especially tight after my run yesterday, and Athlecare loosened it right up!

Is it weird that I actually enjoy my muscles being scraped? I just need this right hamstring of mine to hang on for 2.6 weeks.

Skye is very into gymnastics right now. She even used her money for a bar in her room to practice at home.

These are a quick dinner (we throw them in the air fryer) from Costco that everyone in our family loves.

We had Knox’s soccer game to attend:

And finished up with ice cream on the car ride home🤍

Now for the tangents rolling around in my brain:

*My #1 meal in Utah is from Sol Agave… The chips and salsa are incredible and then the sugar cane filet is what dreams are made of (<– did the Hilary Duff song pop up in anyone’s head when reading ‘what dreams are made of’ like it did in mine?)!

*Marathon training is a little time intensive… anyone else have a similar note on their phone of things they are looking forward to doing once they have a little more time and energy;)

*Andrew’s parents came down to put up Halloween with us, and they even dressed for the occasion. They are the most amazing people. I am very lucky.

*This is from a while ago, but I’m going to copy Jared Ward’s idea of writing things in my shoes.

*Don’t mind me overanalyzing each split from my 3 sub 2:50s at St. George… I’m REALLY hoping to add a new and improved 2:4X to this list in a few weeks.

*Lauren sent me this link to fill out to see how what carbs, sodium and fluids I should be getting in during each hour during the marathon and it came back with this… 75 carbs! I have to up my game! I usually do closer to 55 an hour.
