You Can Get $25 Off Your Next Alaska Airlines Flight by Joining Its Rewards Program

Signing up for frequent flier programs has always been free, but Alaska Airlines is now offering an even greater incentive for new Mileage Plan members to get enrolled.

“There’s a reason our loyal flyers are MVPs,” the airline shared about the promotion on its website. “Our members earn more miles on average than other airlines. Earn miles every time you fly.”

New members who sign up for the Mileage Plan frequent flier program through this promotional link by Dec. 31, 2024, will receive a unique discount code to save $25 off their next Alaska Airlines flight. This offer is available to U.S. residents, excluding those in Alaska, California, and Hawaii.

The $25 discount code will be deposited into the new member’s account within 72 hours of enrollment and must be used within 28 days of signing up. However, only one discount per person is allowed, and individuals creating multiple Mileage Plan accounts may risk deactivation and potential suspension from the program.

There’s no minimum purchase required, though travelers are responsible for all remaining taxes and fees associated with the ticket. To book, travelers must purchase their flights directly on Alaska’s website for travel operated by Alaska Airlines, Horizon Air, or SkyWest within 90 days of enrollment. If the ticket is canceled, the discount code will be forfeited.

Alaska’s frequent flier program is regarded as one of the best in the U.S., and the carrier offers up to 50 percent award tickets with its Global Getaways promotion every quarter — giving members more value for their miles.

This newest promotion comes as Alaska’s merger with Hawaiian Airlines was approved by the Department of Justice (DOJ) and Department of Transportation (DOT) last week. Alaska has stated its intention to maintain the distinct identities and separate frequent flyer programs of both airlines. However, travelers will soon be able to transfer miles between Alaska’s Mileage Plan and Hawaiian’s HawaiianMiles, as well as take advantage of a status match between the two airlines — making it a great time to sign up for an account.
