Well, I’ve determined that my body doesn’t like trying new things, whether it’s running nutrition or gear. I guess I just love routine.
My hamstring was getting under control again and then I wore the Alphaflys yesterday, and boom… felt it right away. When I wore my Vaporflys last Saturday, it felt totally fine. So, the Alphaflys are already on their way back to Nike (thank goodness for a great return policy because $$$$$$)…
And I found a pair of new Vaporflys!
I still don’t know how my body handled marathons in racing flats back in 2019… I guess maybe less is more for me?!?
Our good friend (who is a dentist haha) brought us all donuts to celebrate the end of a training cycle.
I still haven’t caught the cold my kids have/had… I am going to give my green smoothie (power greens, chia seeds, frozen berries, frozen banana) the thanks that it deserves for this. I can’t tell you how many times over the weekend they coughed or sneezed directly in my face. Thank you power greens, for keeping me healthy.
I love it when I make the exact amount to fit perfectly in my cup.
Justin at Athlecare worked on my hamstring and made it feel much better. I wasn’t in the mood for a full ice bath so I just did the right leg and looked awkward the entire time.
Soccer season is coming to an end soon…
The parents of Andrew’s team were all asking him yesterday to keep coaching this team for the 2025/2026 years… Brooke is very thrilled with this plan.
HOW IS HE LOOKING SO OLD THESE DAYS?!
I have a bib number!
St. George is going to do everything they can to help us with the heat! We’ve got this:
Also, this made me laugh so hard… Anyone else watch?

Who has an October birthday, anniversary or race??
*It’s Andrew’s and the kids’ favorite month of the year!
Have you tried anything new recently that did not work for you?
Ever run a really hot race? Anything that helped?
How should I get in my 500 grams of carbs today?
