Score 40% Off a Southwest Flight With This Promo Code

Southwest Airlines is giving travelers an extra reason to say “wow” when planning a vacation.

The Dallas-based airline recently announced the “Save WOW” fare sale, with deals up to 40 percent off base fares. Best of all, the sale covers flights through March 2025 to several popular destinations, making it a perfect option for travelers looking for a fall, winter, and even early spring getaway.

The fare sale runs from now through October 3, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. PST. Travelers can utilize the fare sale by entering the code SAVEWOW when booking airfare on Southwest’s website. Individuals should carefully view the sale’s terms, as there are several date restrictions, including blocked out days for domestic and international flights during the Thanksgiving and Christmas holiday travel stretch.

Travel + Leisure spotted deals available from Dallas, TX (Love Field) to Orlando, FL for $154 with the promotion code applied, where the original fare was $213. Another example is a flight from Burbank, CA to San Antonio, TX for only $192 with the promotion applied, where it would be $267 without the promotion.

The fare sale is part of Southwest’s Week of Wow, which has additional offers such as half-off purchases of Rapid Rewards points, and bonus points on hotel bookings. Southwest is also offering double points on bookings for cruises, through the airline’s new Southwest Cruises booking site.

“Our highly-anticipated Week of WOW provides Customers with some of our best travel deals for fall and winter travel, turning those ‘wanna getaways’ into ‘gonna get away’,” Southwest’s Vice President of Marketing Jennifer Bridie said in a news release

Southwest recently announced a new partnership with Icelandair, that would allow passengers on both airlines to book single itineraries on each other’s flights. This means a traveler could start a Southwest journey on a flight to Baltimore, MD, and then connect from there on an Icelandair flight to its hub in Reykjavik, Iceland, where they would also have the option to connect to dozens of European destinations.

The airline has also been expanding new routes within the United States, including overnight flights for the first time ever.
