JetBlue Is Now the Only U.S. Airline to Fly to This Caribbean Destination from NYC — and Fares are $139 for a Limited Time

JetBlue just launched a new way to get to paradise from the northeast.

Announced in May, the airline flew its inaugural flight from New York to St. Vincent and the Grenadines on Wednesday — establishing itself as the only airline to offer nonstop service from John F. Kennedy Airport to Argyle International Airport.

The 4-hour and 46-minute nonstop flight will fly every Wednesday and Sunday and is operated on an Airbus A320, and includes amenities such as 10.1″ touchscreen television in every seat, with 100+ free channels of DirecTV.

In celebration of the new route’s launch, JetBlue is offering travelers a discount, with $139 one-way fares. The promotional fare is available while supplies last, and can be purchased only on JetBlue’s website. 

“We are thrilled to welcome St. Vincent and the Grenadines—an enchanting destination known for its unspoiled nature, sky-blue waters and stunning landscapes—to our growing network and offer our customers even more travel options,” JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships David Jehn said in a statement shared with T+L. 

St. Vincent and the Grenadines is a Caribbean island country located south of St. Lucia, Antigua, Barbuda, and Montserrat. The country itself consists of 32 different islands and cays, including the island of Canouan which has become a popular destination for tourists due to the new hotels opening, including a Soho House.  

The country is known for aquatic activities such as sailing and diving. Outdoor enthusiasts also enjoy visiting the island for hiking, including the famed La Soufriere Volcano which reaches over 4,000 feet tall, and many waterfalls.
