It’s probably for the best that I won’t be running this month because it is our family’s favorite month. This month’s events and traditions are very important to them all, and it’s pretty jam-packed. The big kids requested a Halloween party instead of birthday parties with their soccer friends this year, so we made it happen. Andrew and I are really big on getting to know their friends and the people they spend a lot of time with, so having them all over for the night is just what we all needed.
I have no idea what I’m doing party planning, but Walmart made me look like I do a few nights ago. Because of how booked life has been, I’ve been a last-second gal. I ordered everything same-day delivery in this post on the Walmart app (just filter ‘today fulfillment’), and it was all seamless, as it always is in my experience with Walmart.
Let’s go ahead and jump into what we used from Walmart to put together a fun night for our family and friends!
As you know, I absolutely adore the Drew Barrymore collection for the home at Walmart, and this 6 Qrt Slow Cooker is so beautiful. I love the stand that it comes with for the lid, so I no longer set it on the counter when I open it up. I made a pumpkin chili with the slightest hint of pumpkin for dinner. It was perfection. It comes in so many great colors.
I used the Drew Barrymore 6 Qrt Dutch Oven to make this 10-minute Dutch Oven S’mores Cake, it was gone in minutes. The kids loved it. It comes in the best colors, and it is so durable!
We used the Skull baking pan to make a bunch of little cakes for decorations!
My favorite area of the party had to be this guy for them to take home treats–> 5 ft Skeleton, Mars Candy Mix, Hershey’s Candy Mix, Nerds Candy Mix, Ghost Goodie Mix, Tablecloth, Party favors, Skull Plates, Balloon Garland, Napkins, Ghost cups.
The Fanta Beetlejuice was a huge hit with the kids and we kept it all in the 72 Qt Igloo Ice Chest Cooler
The evening consisted of a dance party in the backyard, soccer, crossnet, and then we set up the outdoor projector and screen for the Haunted Mansion 2. This Herringbone Throw by Drew Barrymore and Better Homes & Gardens Throw blankets were what I used:)
