Reigning 100m world champion Sha’Carri Richardson and newly crowned world 60m indoor champion Christian Coleman are keeping fans guessing about their relationship. Recently, Richardson was spotted wearing a gold necklace inscribed with “SC,” a chain Coleman has also been seen sporting. The two sprinters, who have been rumoured to be dating for over two years, are yet to officially confirm their romance.

Fuelling further speculation, the pair recently vacationed in Cancun, Mexico. Although they didn’t tag each other in their Instagram stories, both shared videos showing they were at the same warm-weather spot, and fans have been buzzing on social media, wondering if the pair is ready to go public.

A power couple on and off the track
Richardson and Coleman are both fan-favourites on and off the track. Richardson cemented her superstar status when she gold in the 100m at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, setting a championship record of 10.65 seconds. She followed this with another gold as part of Team USA’s record-breaking 4 × 100m relay team. In June 2024, she defended her U.S. national title, running a world-leading time of 10.71 seconds, and went on to earn silver in the 100m and gold in the 4 × 100m relay at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Former NFL player offers world champion Christian Coleman $100,000 to run a 40-yard dash
Meanwhile, Coleman has been making a comeback and creating curiousity. Recently, his speed sparked a viral challenge: former NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III offered Coleman $100,000 to run a 40-yard dash to highlight the gap between NFL speedsters and elite sprinters. Coleman’s previous 40-yard dash of 4.12 seconds, recorded in 2018, suggests he could easily best the NFL’s current record of 4.21 seconds.
The pair was also spotted at an Atlanta Falcons NFL game, where Richardson was honoured on the field while Coleman cheered from the stands.
