I think it will be a bit of time before I gain the courage to try speed work again (I CANNOT GO BACK TO THAT PAIN), but hills pay the bills, too, and I got in some good ones yesterday pain-free. My fastest marathons included so many hills during training and so I believe they get us fit.
It was a solo run so I listened to The Boyfriend by Freida McFadden, and I’m not sure why I did that because I was creeped out for most of the run due to the story but I couldn’t stop listening.
Let’s catch up on some life things:
We picked up our ski passes, and Beck is excited that he will be skiing this year. For two years, Andrew had him in a front pack, and last year, we didn’t ski because of Andrew’s broken ankle, so this will be his first year!
Hoping for way more snow here but none at home🤞! A girl can dream, right?
We had to grab some dinner while we were there… Pure joy when he experienced their mac and cheese:
If you are ever at Sundance, I require you to get their brussels and beet salad.
Full and very happy:
We saw the coolest car on our way home:
Every day they measure to see who is currently taller. Knox is in the lead as of yesterday.
I realized halfway through Skye’s gymnastics class that I had been sitting for the first time at her class in a long time. Zero pain shooting down my leg on a hard bench deserved an excited selfie.
I got this focaccia bread recipe from my niece. It. Is. So. Good. It really isn’t that hard but it does need to sit in the refrigerator for 18 hours before you bake it.
I’ve been eagerly waiting this book arriving!
I love peppermint and chocolate combined. I love it. I have made it a goal to have this combo every day in December, and so far, I’m right on track. I can’t do a running streak so this will do.
