Tour operator Audley Travel is adding ocean cruising to its existing offerings of river cruises and land-based experiences. In a statement shared with Travel + Leisure, the company added that guests can now curate “hybrid trips” with a cruise and land-based vacation.
Like its other trips, these adventures will be curated for each traveler, ensuring everyone is matched with the right ships, rooms, and onboard experiences. The ocean cruises will run through partners including Aranui, Celebrity Cruises, Paul Gauguin, Silversea Cruises, and Star Clippers, with sailings through French Polynesia, Japan, India, and more.
“The beauty of cruise being part of a land itinerary means clients are able to really enjoy the journey as well as the destinations, and all of the places in between,” said Sean Atton, the global cruise manager at Audley Travel, in a statement sent to T+L.
Some of the new trips on offer: a 20-day Japan and South Korea trip, which includes a 14-day Silversea cruise, two nights in the hot springs capital of Hakone, and a train journey in between. The trip starts at $23,380 per person.
Then there’s the Italian art cities trip, which includes an Adriatic cruise aboard a stunning five-masted ship with cruise line Star Clippers, plus longer-form itineraries in Venice and Rome. This trip begins at $7,250 per person.
The company is also offering the Historic Spice Route & India’s Golden Triangle trip, which includes another cruise with Silversea. On this journey, guests will see the Taj Mahal at sunrise, explore the temples in northern Rajasthan, and sail with Silversea from Singapore to Delhi, visiting eight ports and five countries along the spice route. This 26-day trip begins at $15,770 per person.
“Traveling with Audley is about revealing the best of a destination, and that often means experiencing it by land and by sea,” Atton added.
