What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? I looked in the mirror one day and decided I was not going to let my mental health consume me anymore. In the past, I turned to food when I was sad.
How did you change your eating habits? At first, I started to do diets, but my doctor put me on weight loss medication to help because everything I tried did not work. I began to count my calories, and I ate 1200 calories per day. I also cut out soda and candy.
What is your workout routine? I walked a lot at work. I don’t live near a gym, so I brought a lot of at-home equipment while following trainers on social media.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight? My starting weight was over 300, and now I weigh 221 pounds after my breast reduction.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take? I started my journey six years ago, and it took me six years to be where I am today. I recently had a breast reduction, and in four months, I am having my loose skin removed.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No, I didn’t have weight loss surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? I learned that I can’t let food consume me when my mental health takes over. I also learned to make better, healthier choices.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight? Don’t give up even when it seems like nothing is working.
