Ingredients for Salmon with Teriyaki and Honey

  • Salmon fillets – this easy honey teriyaki salmon recipe calls for 1lb to create about 4 salmon fillets, but you can easily double or even triple this recipe for a crowd as long as you use a larger baking pan.
  • Oil – you can use olive oil or canola oil.
  • Teriyaki sauce – I like using Soy Vay’s less sodium teriyaki sauce which includes all of the yummy sesame seeds you see in the pics!
  • Honey
  • Sambal oelek – I used 2 teaspoons, but you can use more or less according to your desired spice level.

How to Make Honey Teriyaki Salmon

Check out these 3 simple steps to making the very best honey teriyaki salmon. It’s one of my go-to weekly dinner recipes because of how incredibly easy it is to make. Just whisk the sauce, coat the salmon, and bake.

  1. Make the sauce: Preheat the oven to 400°F. Then, whisk together the chili honey teriyaki sauce ingredients: oil, teriyaki sauce, honey, and sambal oelek.

  1. Coat the fillets: Coat a 9-inch square baking dish in oil and place salmon skin-side down in the dish. Pour the sauce evenly over the fillets, using a cooking brush to coat the sides and tops.

  1. Bake the salmon: Bake for around 12 minutes, until flaky. Serve with sautéed kale, rice, green beans and potatoes, and more!

Place the the teriyaki salmon fillets in a lined air fryer basket and cook at 360°F for around 12 minutes.

Easy Dinner Hack: Add Veggies!

When I’m short on time and can’t make a side dish, I’ll add in whatever mushrooms, green beans, and bell peppers can fit into the remaining space in the salmon baking pan. It makes this teriyaki salmon dish juicier, and the veggies get to absorb all of that tasty flavor.

  • Preheat oven to 400°F.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together oil, teriyaki sauce, honey, and sambal oelek. Whisk well, until oil is fully combined with all other ingredients.

  • Using a silicone cooking brush, coat a 9-inch square baking dish in oil. Using tongs, place salmon fillets skin-side down onto the pan dish. Leave some room in between each filet to allow even cooking.

  • Pour the sauce evenly over the fillets. Use the same cooking brush to coat the sides and tops of the fillets in sauce.

  • Bake for 10-14 minutes, until flaky and the salmon can easily separate from the skin.* Mine took 12 Min. Serve immediately with rice, veggies, and more. Pour excess sauce over fillets.

  • Air Fryer Directions: 360°F for about 12 minutes.
  • *The USDA recommends cooking salmon to an internal temperature of 145°F in the thickest part. I find that 120-130°F yields the tenderest, flaky salmon. It’s up to you!
