What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? In the beginning, the one thing that motivated me the most was going to the doctor and stepping on the scale, only for the nurse to tell me that I was 250 pounds. Immediately, I knew that I had to make a change for the betterment of my health.

Losing 7 pounds within a week of starting my diet inspired me to keep going. Once I shared my results online, I began to receive messages from women all over the world telling me how much I inspired them to lose weight, and that alone inspired me to continue on, even when I had thoughts of giving up. Knowing how much I motivate and inspire women to live a healthier lifestyle is the best feeling in the world!

How did you change your eating habits? Since the ketogenic diet was my diet of choice, I stopped eating foods that were high in carbohydrates and sugar (e.g., bread, pasta, candy, and sugared beverages). I also stopped eating fried foods and quit drinking alcohol while I was on my journey. I started eating foods that were low in carbohydrates, high in protein and unsaturated fat, and drank a gallon of water a day.

What is your workout routine? My workout routine consists of mostly 30 minutes of cardio (15 minutes on the treadmill and 15 minutes on the stair master) followed by 30 minutes of strength training, Monday-Friday.

How often did you work out? I work out 4-5 times a week. If there is a day that I do not feel like working out, I do 45 minutes of cardio, splitting the time between the treadmill and the stair master.

What was your starting weight? My starting weight was 250 pounds.

What is your current weight? 165 pounds

What is your height? 5’4″

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? I was able to achieve my goals naturally and without surgery. 

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take? I started my journey in April 2021 and was able to achieve my goal of losing 80 pounds within six months. I have been maintaining my weight for 2.5 years.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? The biggest lesson I’ve learned so far is the importance of discipline. Losing weight can be challenging, but when you are disciplined, you create healthy habits such as eating healthy and working out. This will allow you to focus on your goals and maintain your weight once you achieve weight loss goals.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight? My advice for women who want to lose weight would be to set realistic goals for yourself. Setting realistic goals makes it easier for you to stay consistent, making it easier to achieve your goals.
