How to make Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
Try and get as much of the pumpkin seeds as you can from the pumpkin. The pumpkin I had some of the seeds were kind of hard to get out. It is ok if you don’t get all the stringy pumpkin guts removed from the seeds. Washing them in a colander will help with that.
The next step is to let the seeds dry out. It doesn’t matter how you do this but it can take anywhere from a couple of hours to a day. Spread them out on a sheet pan or over some parchment paper.
Once they are dry you can roast them!
Season the pumpkin seeds however you like. Check out your pantry to see what spices you already have in there. I just happened to have some Trader Joe’s all-purpose seasoning. Pumpkin Pie Spice,
Spritz or spray the seeds with some olive and toss them all to coat with the seasoning. Pop them in the oven at 250 degrees for an hour. So good and a nice crunchy and healthy snack!
Tips for Roasted Pumpkin Seeds
When cleaning out the pumpkins seeds place them in a colander and spray the seeds with water until all the seeds are all clear.
If you don’t want to take the time to scoop out the seeds from a fresh pumpkin you can buy raw pumpkin seeds at the specialty food stores or online. Carving a pumpkin is on everyone’s Fall bucket list though is it not? I think this needs to be experienced at least once in your life! 🙂
