“Awful”: Heated Exchange Breaks As Shaq & Charles Barkley Bicker Over Coach Malone & Nuggets Tantrums

After the Minnesota Timberwolves stole Game 1 from the Denver Nuggets on their home court, fans expected the defending Champions to make things even tonight. However, that has not been the story in the first half of the game. In a shocking turn of events, the Timberwolves, yet again, have a commanding lead heading into the second half. And a lot of it has been because of the officiating that has not been in the Nuggets favour early in the game, causing head coach Mike Malone and the rest of the squad to lose their patience, and even generating a heated debate between Shaq and Charles Barkley.

Things got heated in Game 2 early in the first quarter as the Timberwolves had a physical approach throughout. On multiple occasions, the Nuggets believed they should have been awarded offensive fouls, especially when Anthony Edwards ran through KCP in the paint. But the no call sent Coach Malone into a frenzy. Even Charles Barkley and Shaquille O’Neal got into a heated exchange during the Halftime show about the no call. Calling the officiating “awful”, Barkley believed that should have been an offensive foul on the Timberwolves, “You can’t just run over somebody.” Meanwhile, Shaq backed the Timberwolves, “Move your feet like they teach in Elementary school.”
