Extra Sauces to Eat Chicken Wings with

Chicken wings are perfect for any time—whether lunch, dinner or a snack for game day. Want to take them up a notch? Dip them in your favorite sauces like orange chicken sauce, BBQ sauce, or ranch. However you serve them, they’re always a hit!

Garlic Parmesan Wings or Keto Buffalo Wings

It’s a tough choice, but both are amazing. Garlic Parmesan wings are rich, savory, and perfectly garlicky from the garlic powder or minced garlic, while buffalo chicken wings bring a spicy kick. The beauty is that you can easily make both wing sauces at the same time and enjoy the best of both worlds.

Keto Air Fryer Chicken Wings Recipe

The air fryer is one of the best ways to make keto chicken wings, as I did with my orange chicken in the air fryer and air fryer chicken bites. With little to no oil, the air fryer crisps up the skin perfectly while keeping the inside juicy. It’s a fast and effective way to make delicious, less-carb chicken wings in no time.

How To Make Baked Chicken Wings

Let us make crispy, flavorful wings with exact steps and no carbs for you to follow. I have also attached a video for those who prefer more visual instructions. It’s much better than fried chicken, I promise.

Kitchen Gadgets Needed:

  • Bowl: For mixing the seasoning and coating the chicken wings.
  • Brush: To evenly coat the wings with oil and seasonings.
  • Whisk: To thoroughly mix your seasoning blend.
  • Parchment Paper: Parchment paper or baking sheet lines the baking tray and prevents the wings from sticking.
  • Baking Tray: This is for holding and baking chicken wings.
  • Baking Rack: To improve the wings for even cooking and crisping.

Ingredients Needed:

  • Chicken Wings: You’ll need fresh chicken wings, preferably bio-quality ones.
  • Parmesan Cheese: Adds a rich, cheesy flavor that pairs beautifully with the spices.
  • AVO Oil: Use avocado oil to coat the wings, as it’s high in good fats and has a high smoke point.
  • Granulated Garlic: For that perfect savory garlic flavor.
  • Onion Powder: A mild, sweet onion flavor to complement the spices.
  • Smoked Paprika: Gives the wings a smokey depth and a bit of color.
  • Turmeric Powder: Adds a warm, earthy flavor and a beautiful golden color.
  • Salt: To bring out all the flavors in your seasoning.
  • Pepper: For a little extra kick and balance.
  • Chilli Powder: For a mild heat and extra flavor.

STEP-BY-STEP INSTRUCTIONS TO MAKE LOW CARB CHICKEN WINGS

First Step: Gather Ingredients

Before you start, ensure you have all your ingredients, including fresh chicken wings, avocado oil, and seasonings like garlic, onion powder, paprika, and turmeric. Having everything ready will make the process smooth and easy. Don’t forget to prepare your baking tray with parchment paper for easy cleanup.

Second Step: Mix Seasonings with AVO Oil

Whisk together the granulated garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, turmeric powder, salt, pepper, chili powder, and avocado oil in a bowl. This will create a flavorful seasoning blend to coat the chicken wings. Ensure all the seasonings are evenly distributed in the oil to give every wing that perfect flavor.

Step-by-step mixing process: hands add spices and oil into a bowl, followed by stirring to combine ingredients. Two small bowls with grated cheese are in the background.

Third Step: Brush Wings with the Mixture

Take your chicken wings and brush each one generously with the seasoned oil mixture. Be sure to coat the wings evenly on both sides so that every bite is bursting with flavor. This step is key to getting that crispy, golden texture when baking.

Fourth Step: Top with Parmesan Cheese and Bake

Once the wings are coated, sprinkle a generous amount of parmesan cheese over the top. Then, place the wings on a baking rack set on a baking tray and bake at 400°Fahrenheit (200°Celsius) for 40 minutes, flipping halfway. This will make the wings crispy and golden with a cheesy, savory finish.

TIPS AND TRICKS:

  • For extra crispy wings: After baking, you can broil the wings for a couple of minutes to get them extra crispy on top. Keep an eye on them to avoid burning, as broiling can cook them quickly. Baking powder is an option for a more crispy wing.
  • Add your favorite seasonings: Feel free to adjust the seasoning blend to your taste. If you like a bit more spice, add hot sauce or paprika.
  • Use a wire rack for even cooking: Cooking the wings on a baking rack allows hot air to circulate all around them, helping them cook more evenly and get that perfect crispiness.
  • Customize the cheese: If you’re not a fan of Parmesan, you can swap it for another hard cheese like Pecorino Romano for a slightly different flavor.
  • Tossing: If brush is not available, you can toss the wings in a mixing bowl with the seasoning to coat them evenly.

What To Serve With Extra Crispy Chicken Wings?

How Do I Store this Keto Chicken Wings Recipe?

Store leftover wings in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days. For the best results, place a paper towel at the bottom of the container to absorb excess moisture and keep the wings crisp. To reheat, bake them in the oven or air fry to maintain that crispy texture. Avoid microwaving, as it can make the wings soggy.
