LUCENA CITY – Police arrested seven suspected drug traffickers on Friday and Saturday (May 31 and June 1) during buy-bust operations in Rizal, Cavite, Batangas, and Laguna provinces.
The operations yielded more than P3.5 million worth of “shabu” (crystal meth), a hand grenade, and a handgun, Region 4A police chief Brigadier General Paul Kenneth Lucas said in a report.
The report said anti-narcotics operatives in Binangonan collared “Abul,” “Norodin,” and “Noraidah,” after they sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in a transaction held in Barangay (village) Tayuman in Binangonan, Rizal around 5 a.m. on Friday, May 31.
Seized from the suspects, classified as high-value individuals or HVI in the illegal drug trade. were three plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic bags containing shabu weighing 502.3 grams worth P3,415,640 and a digital weighing scale.
Rizal police are conducting further investigations to determine the source of the illegal drugs.
Policemen in Dasmarias City, Cavite also busted “Nikki” in a sting operation in Barangay Santa Cruz at about 9:15 p.m. on Friday.

Authorities seized from the suspect, three sachets of shabu worth P69,972 and a hand grenade.
In Sto. Tomas City, Batangas, law enforcers collared “Mike” and “Shaira” in Barangay San Pedro around 8:40 a.m. on Friday.
The suspect was found in alleged possession of eight sachets of meth worth P102,000 and digital weighing scale.
Authorities also seized two mobile phones, which will be subjected to digital forensic examinations if they have records of drug transactions.
The police also confiscated from the suspects a Mitsubishi Montero believed to have been used in their illegal drug trade.

Meanwhile, police officers in Biñan City, Laguna nabbed street pusher “Christian” around 4:25 a.m. Saturday, June 1, in Barangay San Antonio.
During the drug sting operation, he was caught in possession of an undocumented caliber .45 loaded with seven bullets and four sachets of meth worth P8,840.
The seven suspects are under police custody and are facing complaints of violating the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Nikki and Christian will also be slapped with another case for illegal possession of a firearm and explosive.
