What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up
My motivation was/is my two beautiful kids and trying to set an excellent example for them so they will live healthy lifestyles.

What inspired me to keep going was preparing for and going through my recent divorce (which was finalized in February). I use exercise as major stress relief when I’m going through difficult times.

How did you change your eating habits?
I was a vegetarian for about seven years, but once I left my ex-husband last summer, I started eating meat again. I eat lean meats like grilled/baked chicken, baked fish, and seafood. I still enjoy lots of fruits, veggies, and vegetarian meals often. I also used intermittent fasting over the past eight months to help with my weight loss!

What is your workout routine?
I use equipment at home, such as my Peloton and treadmill. I also use dumbbells, Kettlebells, and resistance bands to follow Youtube or the Peloton App workouts.  When I need to use heavy weights, I go to the gym (Planet Fitness)! I also like to take walks in the evenings with my kids.

How often did you work out?
I work out at least three times a week, but on good weeks, I can work out five times a week.

What was your starting weight? What is your current weight?
My starting weight was 375 pounds, and my current weight is 285 pounds.

What is your height?
I’m very tall – 5’11”.

When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take?
I started this journey about three years ago during the c*vid years. It’s been a slow journey, and I did a lot of yo-yoing. However, since last summer, I’ve lost the last 45 pounds, bringing the total to 90 pounds. I’m still working to get 30-50 more pounds off by the end of this year!

Is weight loss surgery part of your journey?
No. I have not used surgery or any weight loss drugs.

What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far?
learned that I can absolutely do anything I put my mind to once I truly believe in myself and stay focused on my goals.

What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
Learn what works for you, your body, your lifestyle, and the resources you have available to you. Get comfortable doing the uncomfortable. Change up your routine in those moments when you plateau
