Discova is happy to announce the appointment of Justin Chang as the new Country Manager for Japan. Justin will be responsible for the on ground, day-to-day development and execution of Discova’s business in Japan.
Justin has over 15 years of experience in the travel industry, especially in numerous Commercial and Operational roles at a global airline and worked as Discova’s Reservations Manager for Japan, before being promoted as the Country Manager this month.
Peter Christiansen, Discova’s Director of Operations, says, “Justin has consistently demonstrated his ability to rally the team around him. Leading with a clear vision and a growth mindset, he is not hesitant to work directly with our suppliers, guides, and the Japan team on the ground.
“Justin embodies our company culture, which places a high value on innovation, ownership, and excellence. I am looking forward to sharing new innovative products and initiatives with our partners in Japan and overseas.”
Enthusiastic about leading a young and dynamic team, Justin adds, “Leaning on my experience at a world class airline renowned for customer service, I hope to lead the team in Japan to put our customers (and ultimately their customers) at the forefront of every decision we make and to execute on our commitments with excellence. I have no doubt, that with the bright minds and energetic team we have, we will be successful in delivering on this in 2024 and beyond.”
As an inspiration to new travellers, Justin says that Japan is one of those rare countries that has something for everyone. He informs, “Though many countries claim to have that, Japan offers Natural experiences (Onsens in Hakone), Cultural experiences (from historic Temples in Kyoto to futuristic digital exhibitions at TeamLabs) and much more.”
