This easy pork lettuce wraps recipe is full of flavor but only requires a handful of ingredients. It’s one of my favorite ground pork recipes!
Ground pork is a ground meat that is not widely used but I think that should change. It is lean, high in protein, and is the perfect canvas for these pork lettuce wraps.
But wait, this ground pork recipe isn’t just for lettuce wraps, you could serve it over rice, whether it be white rice, brown rice, or cauliflower rice…as an easy ground pork stir fry for meal prep or bowl recipe.
How to make ground pork lettuce wraps
I love how simple this recipe is without using a lot of ingredients that are typical for an Asian inspired recipe. This recipe only uses ground pork, shredded carrot, water chestnuts, soy sauce, sesame oil, fresh ginger, green onions, rice vinegar, and of course, lettuce cups.
All of that deliciousness gets stir fried in a large skillet until the pork is cooked through. This flavorful ground pork recipe can be on your dinner table in about 15 minutes!

Ingredients
- 1 ½ pounds ground pork
- ½ cup shredded carrots
- 8 ounces canned water chestnuts, drained and chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 ½ tablespoons ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- ¼ cup thinly sliced green onions, divided
- 12 lettuce cups
Instructions
-
Heat a large non-stick skillet over medium heat. Cook and crumble the ground pork with the shredded carrots until the meat is no longer pink, about 8 minutes.
-
Stir in the water chestnuts, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger paste, rice vinegar, and half of the sliced green onions into the cooked pork. Remove from the heat.
-
Spread the lettuce cups out on a platter and divide the meat mixture evenly in the cups. Garnish with remaining green onion and serve.
Notes
- Spicy pork lettuce wraps: stir in a little sriracha or red pepper flakes, as much or as little as you like depending on your desired spice level for a spicy kick.
- Serving alternatives: instead of lettuce cups, serve the meat mixture over your rice of choice or rice noodles and with steamed green beans for a delicious bowl recipe.
- Storage: store leftovers, separate from any lettuce, in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
