MANILA, Philippines — A fire hit a residential area in Tondo, Manila, early Tuesday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
In a report, BFP said the blaze broke out around 1:50 a.m. on Benita Street in Barangay 186.

The fire reached the first alarm at 1:53 a.m. and was raised to the second alarm at 1:59 a.m.
No other details were provided regarding the extent of the blaze; however, BFP said the fire is still ongoing.
The agency deployed around nine trucks to help extinguish the fire. No injuries or fatalities were reported so far.
