My job just got harder (as it does every year at this time). Taking pictures out on a run with frozen fingers is extremely difficult, and my fingers lost all feeling yesterday. I might have to wear a GoPro on my head this winter. Thank you for your sympathy in advance;)
I didn’t feel great during the run and I’m wondering if that had anything to do with eating CougarTails and popcorn for dinner the night before the run;) Andrew had to work a bit later than normal, we had no plans, and so we decided to go to the BYU Volleyball game. We had so much fun and we are all now huge volleyball fans.
Last night involved a celebration at my friend Todd’s house with all of the Olympians in our area. I was star struck and felt like I was going to pass out meeting these people… They were all so nice but I was so nervous.
Grant Fisher with his two Olympic medals! He was so kind asking everyone else about their racing. He said he loves Utah after living here for a year.
Kenneth Rooks… I’m positive I watched the last lap of his race at least 100 times.
Of course, Todd and his wife had amazing food for everyone… I could eat this meal every day of my life.
I’m on a donut streak this week.
It was a very good evening.
Let’s get into the favorites of the week!
*Okay. This long sleeve running top is $12. Size down one size, but it is pretty much identical to a lululemon long sleeve that I have two of and spent 6x as much on! It is so soft!
*You were all right, the crockpot just needed to be our best friend during this busy time with soccer games or practice almost every night. Mindy has an awesome thai peanut crockpot recipe and we all loved it!
*I was sent this a few months ago but completely forgot about it in the back of my pantry until a friend told me how much she loved it! I’ve been wanting a pre-workout type thing but have no desire to feel jittery. I can report that I am jitter free. Maybe it’s placebo, maybe it works but it definitely has been perking me up when I wake up with zero desire to do anything but hide under my covers. From the website because I have no idea how to explain what is in it;) “We created Full Bore to overcome the most strenuous workouts, using ingredients like L-Citrulline & Agmatine Sulfate to help with blood flow*, Betaine Anhydrous for hydration and pump*, Beet Root for fatigue and cardiovascular health*, and the Peak O2TM️ blend to enhance stamina and endurance.*”
I’m planning on using it before the marathon. I find it so fun to try out different things in hopes to someday perfect my marathoning routine.
*I want to learn as much as possible about the female body (‘we aren’t small men’ -Dr. Stacey Sims), and I found this episode of Cat Bohannon on the Armchair Expert very interesting. I need to read her book now!
*This pair of adidas Gazelles! The adidas shoes under 100 section has so many great pairs, and I’ve been wearing these often. Brooke is jealous of my red shoes and can’t wait for her feet to grow a few sizes to steal these from me. They are so comfortable and bring a fun pop of color to my outfits.
