Sharing front porch decor for spring with my signature KERF style, a.k.a. all things neutral with a touch of gold.
Spring is in the air!
Our front porches got a bit of an upgrade with our home renovation last year, and so I’ve been looking forward to spending time sitting on them ever since. Just like I aim to give our interior home a spring refresh, I like to get my porch ready for spring by dusting off the winter cobwebs and bringing out the cushions.
These are the Nantucket Rocking Chairs from Grandin Road.
While I don’t go nuts with decorations for the spring season, I do think you can make your entry area inviting and have that “curb appeal” simply by cleaning off your furniture and having some cheerful blooms with pops of color; these small elements can evoke a sense of joy and anticipation for the warmer days ahead.
Front Porch Decor For Spring
Outdoor Rug
If your seating area is conducive to an outdoor rug, they can really add personality and warmth… and also cover up ugly concrete.
Braided Door Mat
One easy and inexpensive way to spruce up your front porch or entryway is with a fresh, new door mat.
Adirondack Rocking Chairs
We have these rocking chairs on our front porch and we love them! Something about sitting on your porch with a drink in hand is just so relaxing. If you aren’t lucky enough to have a porch swing, a rocking chair is the next best thing.
Throw Pillow
Switching up your throw pillows from season to season can give your front porch a fresh feel; they add color and comfiness. While I gravitate toward neutrals, I really do love some blue nautical accents, too.
Side Table / Plant Stand
This table has a bit of modern vibe and could serve as a resting place for your morning coffee or evening cocktail, or it would also make for a simple plant stand.
Woven Throw Blanket
I really like this simple throw blanket to toss on the back of a chair. The touch of yellow is so cheerful!
Gold Metal Lanterns
These gold metal lanterns from Pottery Barn are elegant and classy; they fit nicely with fall farmhouse decor, too. I think lanterns can be a nice touch on a front porch almost any time of year!
Spring Wreath
If you’re still stumped on front porch ideas, hanging a wreath on your front door is as easy as it gets with home decor, in my opinion. This one from Target is under $15!
Fluted Flower Pot
This simple pot for spring plants and flowers is just adorable. It would also make for an adorable housewarming gift.
Concrete Terra Cotta Pots
Flower pots and planters are often a big element of outdoor spaces, but they can get kind of pricey; so one suggestion is to check your local thrift store first.
All hands on deck!
