Apples–I love the tartness and refreshing crunch Granny Smith apples add to this salsa. You can also use diced Fuji,Honeycrisp,Pink Lady,or Gala apples for a slightly different flavor.
Berries–Fresh strawberries and blueberries were my berries of choice,but you can also experiment with raspberries,blackberries,or cherries.
Tropical fruit–A blend of diced kiwi and pineapple gives the salsa sweet and juicy tropical flavors.
Sugar–A touch of sugar helps balance the tartness of the fruit. Granulated white sugar or cane sugar both work well,or you can experiment with a natural sweetener,like honey,maple syrup,agave nectar,or stevia.
Lemon–Freshly squeezed lemon juice brightens the salsa and helps prevent the fruits from browning.
Fruit preserves–Choose sweet preserves,such as strawberry or raspberry,to add an extra layer of flavor and help bind the ingredients together.

Instructions
Step 1:Combine. Place the diced fruit and berries in a large bowl. Add the sugar and lemon juice and gently stir until combined. Add the fruit preserves and gently stir again until combined.
Step 2:Chill. Cover the dish and place it in the fridge until you’re ready to serve the salsa.

Ingredients
- 2granny smith applespeeled,cored,and diced
- 1lb.strawberriesdiced
- 1cupkiwidiced
- 1cuppineapplediced
- ½cupblueberries
- 2tablespoonsugar
- 1lemonjuiced
- 4tablespoonfruit preserves (strawberry or raspberry)
- cinnamon pita chips or graham crackers for serving
Instructions
Add all diced fruit to a large bowl. Then add the sugar and lemon juice and mix together until well combined.
Add the fruit preserves and mix again until well combined. Cover the fruit salsa with a lid and transfer to the fridge for 15-30 minutes or until ready to serve so that the flavors continue to meld together.
