Gwendolyne Fourniol is faring well in the pre-pageant activities leading up to the 71st Miss World coronation night, as her progress caught the attention of global pageant observers.

Fourniol was named as the ninth pick for the Miss World title by Missosology—an established observer that keeps track of various pageants and a beauty queen’s progress throughout their journey—as seen on its second hot-picks list on its Facebook page Friday, March 8.

Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic was chosen as its prime bet for the coveted crown, while Axelle René of Martinique and Nursena Say of Turkiye made it to the second and third spots, respectively.

Also included in the list are Ache Abrahams (Trinidad & Tobago), Lesego Chombo (Botswana), Yasmina Zaytoun (Lebanon), Sini Shetty (India), Leticia Frota (Brazil) and Sofiia Shamiia (Ukraine).

Rounding up Missosology’s picks are Audrey Susilo (Indonesia), Ada Eme (Nigeria), Lucia Arellano (Peru), Nokutenda Marumbwa (Zimbabwe), Kedist Deltour (Belgium), Jessica Gagen (England), Priyanka Joshi (Nepal), Sophia Hrivnakova (Slovakia), Elena Rivera (Puerto Rico) and Imen Mehrzi (Tunisia).

On the other hand, Fourniol was on the 19th spot of Sash Factor’s final picks, as seen on its Facebook page on Friday, March 9.

The pageant observer chose Abrahams, Pyszková of Czech Republic and Susilo as their top three bets for the crown.

Also included in their list are Chombo, Arellano, Shetty, Gagen, Claude Mashego (South Africa), Say, Frota, Eme, Darcey Corria (Wales), Zaytoun, Tharina Botes (Thailand), Clemence Botino (France), René, Camila Pinzon (Colombia), Huynh Phuong (Vietnam) and Ariagny Daboin (Venezuela).

Fourniol is making a splash on Miss World’s pre-pageant activities after securing a Top 20 spot in the Top Model Challenge, Top 23 of the Talent Challenge and Top 25 of the Head-to-Head Challenge.

She was also chosen as one of its picks from Asia and Oceania in the pageant’s Sports Challenge after advancing to the Top 40.

Karolina Bielawska will pass her crown to her successor at the Miss World coronation night on March 9 after a two-year reign.

Megan Young remains the sole Filipina to win the Miss World title.
