Holland America Line is putting cruises on sale for up to 40 percent off to help travelers plan an epic vacation for winter and spring.
The “Save On Sunshine” sale must be booked by Aug. 20 and is available for travel from September through April 2025, Holland America shared with Travel + Leisure. In addition to big savings on cruise fares, the company is offering free prepaid crew gratuities and 50 percent reduced deposits.
“Soon enough winter weather will have us all dreaming about cruising to warmer destinations, and with the Save on Sunshine offer, travellers can plan a tropical vacation now and take advantage of extra savings and amenities,” Beth Bodensteiner, the chief commercial officer for Holland America Line, said in a statement shared with T+L. “Save on Sunshine includes warm weather destinations such as the Caribbean, Mexico, Australia, Asia and South America, plus some of our longer Legendary Voyages.”
The sale is available for cruises all around the world from a 21-day Panama Canal trip on the company’s Eurodam ship to a 7-day Eastern Caribbean sailing on the Nieuw Amsterdam, an incredible 18-day trip circling Hawaii on the Koningsdam, and more. Beyond these dreamy destinations, the promotion also includes trips to places as far as Tahiti and Antarctica.
In addition, the sale is combinable with Holland America’s “Have it All” packages, which include shore excursions, a beverage package, specialty dining, and a Wi-Fi package.
The sale is not available for Holland America’s Grand Voyages or on cruises lasting three days or less.
Beyond this sale, Holland America offers big savings on last-minute trips with its Standby Program, which allows guests to sign up to be on standby to cruise on eligible sailings for just $49 per person per day. Potential passengers find out if they’re confirmed for a trip a few days before the scheduled departure.
