Description
This easy, healthy recipe for Homemade Dog Treats with Pumpkin and Peanut Butter is based on only 4 ingredients! Yet these vegan, gluten-free homemade organic dog treats are super tasty–your pets will love them!
- Place oats in the container of a food processor or blender and process until the texture is a flour. Remove ¼ cup of the oat flour from the container of the food processor or blender to set aside, leaving remaining oat flour in container.
- Add pumpkin, peanut butter, and flax seeds to the food processor or blender container with the oat flour, and process until mixture is very smooth (about 2-3 minutes).
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of the oat flour onto a clean counter or cutting board, and turn out one-fourth of the dough from the food processor or blender onto the floured surface. Sprinkle with oat flour and roll out with a pastry roller until about ¼-inch thick. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter (dip in oat flour to prevent sticking). Fold leftover scraps of dough into the next batch of dough, repeating until all dough is rolled out and cut into shapes.
- Place on baking sheets lined with parchment paper or sprayed with non-stick cooking spray.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until golden brown and firm.
- Let cool and store in airtight containers.
- Makes about 28 large biscuits.
- Prep Time: 15 minutes
- Cook Time: 35 minutes
