How every senator voted on the budget bill to avert a shutdown

Republicans and Democrats in the Senate passed a $1.2 trillion bill early Saturday to fund a majority of the government for the next six months. The 74-24 vote came after an agreement emerged just as the deadline for averting a government shutdown arrived.

The House narrowly passed the measure Friday.

This bill funds roughly three-quarters of the federal government, including the departments of Defense, State and Homeland Security, as well as the IRS and Transportation Security Administration. Congress has already passed separate legislation funding the remaining portion.

Biden pledged to sign the bill later Saturday and the White House budget office said it would not declare a shutdown when the vote was imminent.
