I Found the Most Comfortable Shoes for Disneyland

The best piece of advice I ever got about spending a day at Disney? Don’t wear brand-new shoes. The idea is simple: you don’t want to risk blisters or discomfort when you’re on your feet for hours. But that advice went out the window when I spotted the perfect pair of shoes to go with my new Disney T-shirt.

While a piece of me thought I might regret it, I ordered the pair just in time for our Disney adventure. I wore these shoes for our direct flight out of town, but other than that, these shoes were broken in by an extreme day of Disney fun with the family, walking nearly 10 miles over 13 hours. 

I might not have followed the cardinal rule of breaking in my shoes before a trip, but here’s why I think the Rocket Dog Cheery Sneakers are worth the risk.

I had planned to wear my favorite pair of Under Armour shoes, but then I stumbled upon the Rocket Dog Cheery Sneakers. I took advantage of two-day shipping and opened the box hours before our flight. They were perfect. 

From the colorblocking featuring pink, mustard yellow, and slate blue to the simple, stylish design, they were everything I was looking for in a pair of travel sneakers. I slipped my tried-and-true Under Armour shoes into my bag, just in case, and laced up my new Rocket Dogs for the airport. I couldn’t wait to wear them, and I wanted to do at least a short test run before our day at Disneyland. 

For our short, direct flight to Los Angeles, I wore the sneakers with my favorite leggings, an oversized T-shirt, and a denim jacket — my favorite combination for flying. But you could wear these sneakers with everything from leggings to shorts to a simple dress. One reviewer said, “If you’re looking for a go-to cute, versatile, comfortable white sneaker … this is it!”

What really sold me, though, was the plush foam insole. It offers cloud-like cushioning that molds to the shape of your foot, providing both support and comfort for all-day wear. As one reviewer noted, “The cushioned insole in these white sneakers is a standout feature that significantly enhances comfort…it is like walking on air.”

I won’t lie, I was a little nervous about wearing them all day chasing my toddlers and waiting in lines, but the plush foam insole quickly put my doubts to rest. After 13 hours of walking around and waiting in lines at Disneyland, my feet were still feeling great — a little tired but no pain at all! I put 10 miles on those shoes that day, and I would do it again. 

I’m not the only wearer to have experienced this right-out-of-the-box comfort. One reviewer, who wore them for a 10-hour workday without breaking them in, said, “My feet didn’t hurt at all.” The same goes for this reviewer, who bought these sneakers just for a 10-day trip to Ireland: “200,000 steps later, I’m happy to report these shoes were not only comfortable…they also matched all of my outfits so well.”

I got mine in the block tan combo, and the colors were just as beautiful in person as on the screen. Several reviewers said the colors were a major selling point for them, too. 

While I still think breaking in shoes before heading to Disneyland is the safest move, I don’t regret breaking that rule for the comfort and style the Rocket Dog Cheery Sneakers provided. I’ve worn them at least once a week every day since our trip, and I still can’t get over how comfortable they are. In fact, they’ve replaced my beloved Under Armour shoes as my favorite travel shoes.
