Well, your comments made me cry yesterday. Thank you. I guess I’m here for life no matter how many miles I am or am not running. You guys mean the world to me.
Yesterday, we went on a walk to get donuts which is equally as fun as a run.
This little ball has gotten to know my body a little too well. It alleviates so much pressure, thankfully!
I am an A+ student with my current homework:
We got to have one of my nephew’s for the day! We styled their hair the same so that they would look even more alike.
NOTHING feels as good on my sciatic situation as the hot tub. Which makes me think it’s flaring up from being too tight?! Thoughts?
Andrew and Brooke strongly disagree on pumpkin bread needs… Andrew wants it pure pumpkin and Brooke wants chocolate chips in there, so she had to add them in after they were baked;)
Random tangent… At my nephew’s wedding luncheon, they had Meditteranean bowls and they were so good. I think this needs to happen more often.
It’s time for some bright sides of the pain in my right right leg. PS When I get to marathon train again, I vow to do things MUCH differently than this last training cycle. I will strength train, I will work on my mobility, and there is no way I will ever do anything but run extremely easy (or rest or cross-train) on my non speedwork days (no more than two times per week) again. I really think that the addition of aerobic threshold miles was just way too much on my body and mind, and it broke down! I never had time to fully recover, and that’s just not something I can skip over!
I’m injured but at least…
*It’s happening in a year that we already hit our max out-of-pocket, so I can go overboard on treatment for free.
*It’s happening during cold and dark mornings and not during those beautiful sunny spring/summer months. (Picture from our weekend near Duck Creek).
*When I’m tired of standing I can move to a laying desk on the ground. Watch, I’m going to get a different injury from all of the changes I’m making in my every day life for this injury haha.
*And nobody can judge me for laying down on the park bench.
*I don’t have a race anytime soon, so I don’t have to fret about whether or not I’ll make it to the starting line!
*My body is not naturally waking up at the time when I used to get up to run. I sleep in like a teenager when the kids don’t have school currently.
*I’ll probably make a Ryan Hall transformation with all of my strength training.
*Andrew is recruiting Knox to do the Taco Bell 50k with him and not me;)

Would you do the Taco Bell 50k? Have you ever done or seen something similar?
Tell me what your workout is today!
Pumpkin bread with or without chocolate chips?
Made any recent mistakes in your training?
