We heard a lot about this new RV Airflow Systems insert being the greatest thing since sliced bread, so we decided to buy one ourselves and see.
The first thing we noticed was the price tag. RV Airflow Systems is not the cheapest RV Upgrade on the market by any stretch. To be fair, It is also not the most expensive RV upgrade I have purchased either.
Honestly it cost less than one of our RV Tires, and it doesn’t need to be replaced every few years. It falls right in the same price range as the MicroAir Easy Starts we installed so that we could run Two AC units on a 30 amp hook up.
All things considered on price, it falls right in line with where it should for what it is, and the performance it is supposed to deliver.
RV Airflow Systems Price: FAIR
I’m sure we can’t be the only ones who have purchased the “easy to install” DIY RV Upgrade, and then felt like we needed a degree in engineering to figure out the directions.
I’m a pretty handy guy, and have made a decent living out of being a handy guy. There have been times when even I opened a box and looked at the parts and scratched my head when looking at the directions.
That didn’t happen with the RV Airflow Systems kit.
Really, I never even had to look at the directions. I did so afterward to double check myself, and then gave myself a pat on the back.
The very few parts in the box are pretty self explanatory.
There is the main Styrofoam air diverter, inserts that go into your ductwork, double stick foam pads, and some aluminum foil tape. That’s it. DIY Installation is super easy.
DIY Installation: EASY
Ok, so the price is fair, and the installation is easy, but does it really work?
In a word, Yes.
You didn’t come here for just one word, so let me elaborate. We have owned our RV for a few years, and traveled the country for 2 years. There have been plenty of times we were parked in full sun, and only able to run one AC Unit at a time.
During those times, with a completely stock RV, the living room AC simply could NOT keep up with the demand. On a 100 Degree day the temperature would just climb and climb while the AC unit was cranking away on high.
Now, we are in the middle of a complete renovation of our RV, and GUTTED it.
I’m talking about down to the studs. The day I installed the RV Airflow Systems kit, we had ZERO insulation in the RV Slides, or in the RV Ceiling, and it was parked in Full sun and plugged in to a 15 amp circuit.
The cards were seriously stacked against it having any shot at cooling the RV Down.
The temperature was in the upper 90’s when I installed the kit, and fired up the one ac unit.
In half an hour it had brought the temperature in the RV down into the 70’s!

Does RV Airflow System Work: YES
This is by far one of the best upgrades we have ever purchased, and I will be purchasing a second one for our other AC unit.
Picking the right kit for your RV is simple on their website, and it was here in just a few days. The installation took just a few minutes, and I am telling you the difference with how well it works is NIGHT and DAY.
I can not say enough about this product and absolutely recommend it.
