JetBlue Is Adding Mint Service to This New York Route

Getting to Big Sky Country in comfort and style will soon be easier when flying with JetBlue this winter.

Starting in mid-February, JetBlue will introduce its Airbus A321 aircraft, featuring the popular Mint business class cabin, on flights from Boston (BOS) and New York (JFK) to Bozeman, Montana. (BZN). The Mint-equipped aircraft will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, catering to skiers and snowboarders heading to this popular destination. 

The service will run for the winter season until March 30, 2025. Tickets are already on sale through JetBlue’s website, with one-way fares for the five-hour flight starting at $900 for the premium cabin. 

“We are excited to introduce our award-winning Mint experience to Bozeman and Big Sky, enhancing the travel experience for our customers flying from Boston and New York,” said JetBlue’s vice president of network planning and airline partnerships, Dave Jehn, in a statement. “With the introduction of Mint and the increased frequency of flights on weekends, we are committed to offering our customers premium travel options, making their journey to Bozeman and back an exceptional experience.”

JetBlue offers two types of Mint business class seats. The original design, introduced over a decade ago and primarily used on transcontinental routes, features seats arranged in an alternating 2-2 and 1-1 configuration. In 2021, JetBlue revamped its Mint cabin for its European routes, including services to London, Paris, Dublin, and beyond.

For the Bozeman winter service, JetBlue will use aircraft with the “older” Mint business class cabin. However, this seat still provides a premium experience far superior to a domestic first-class recliner. Mint passengers enjoy a fully lie-flat bed with a plush comforter and pillow, a tapas-style menu from popular New York City restaurants, a large 15-inch TV screen, and more.

This news comes as JetBlue plans to expand its Mint business class seats to other popular domestic routes, marking a significant shift from its traditional route strategy. The airline has already introduced Mint on its New York to Vancouver and San Juan routes and plans to launch Mint service from Boston to Phoenix this fall.
