JetBlue Just Added Three Airlines to Its Status Match Program

Scoring upgrades, free checked bags, and other money-saving perks with JetBlue just got easier with the airline’s updated status match program.

The airline has just expanded its “Match to Mosaic” program to include three additional major domestic airlines, the carrier shared in a statement with T+L. Now, elite status members of Southwest Rapid Rewards, Spirit Airlines Free Spirit, and Frontier Airlines FrontierMiles can request a status match and enjoy complimentary JetBlue Mosaic status.

Under the expanded program, frequent fliers in the following loyalty programs can match their elite status to JetBlue’s Mosaic 1 status for up to three months:

  • Southwest A-List and A-List Preferred
  • Spirit Gold
  • Frontier Gold, Platinum, and Diamond
  • United Silver and Gold
  • Delta Silver and Gold
  • Alaska MVP and MVP Gold
  • American Airlines Gold and Platinum

Mosaic 1 members enjoy a range of perks, including two free checked bags, complimentary inflight alcoholic beverages, same-day flight changes, priority boarding and security, free Even More Space seats at check-in, complimentary Core cabin seating, and access to a dedicated customer support line. For those traveling in JetBlue’s Mint business class, Mosaic 1 members also receive priority access to select Mint Suite seats on certain aircraft.

During the three-month trial period, travelers must earn a specific number of “tiles” to retain or upgrade their JetBlue status through the following year. Mosaic 1 requires 10 tiles, Mosaic 2 requires 25 tiles, and Mosaic 3 requires 40 tiles. Tiles can be earned at a rate of 1 tile per $100 spent with JetBlue or 1 tile per $1,000 spent on an eligible JetBlue credit card.

Top-tier elite members from United, Delta, Alaska, and American Airlines can match to JetBlue’s Mosaic 2 status for up to three months. However, this level is not available to elite members of Southwest, Spirit, and Frontier.

To apply for a status match, travelers need to create a TrueBlue account and submit a screenshot of their frequent flyer program profile displaying their full name and proof of status. However, JetBlue notes that processing may take up to four weeks before the new status is granted.
