JetBlue is heading to Spain next summer with its latest expansion efforts to Europe, and flights are already on sale for its popular economy and business class cabins.
Starting May 22, 2025, JetBlue will introduce daily nonstop service from its Boston hub to Madrid, operating throughout the peak summer season. On the same day, the airline will also launch new seasonal flights from Boston to Edinburgh, complementing its existing service to the Scottish city from its primary base at New York-JFK. Both services are scheduled to end on Oct. 24, 2025.
“Madrid and Edinburgh represent two of Europe’s most exciting and popular destinations, and we’re happy to offer even more transatlantic travel options for our customers from Boston and New England,” Daniel Shurz, head of revenue, network and enterprise planning at JetBlue, shared in a statement with T+L. “Europe continues to be part of our network strategy, as our loyal customers look for JetBlue’s signature service and low fares to bring them to top leisure destinations, including across the Atlantic.”
The flight from Boston will depart at 10:25 p.m. and arrive in Madrid at 11:30 a.m. the following day, while the return flight will depart at 1:30 p.m. and touch down in Boston at 3:20 p.m. the same day. For the Edinburgh route, flights from Boston will depart at 10:30 p.m. and arrive at 10:10 a.m. the next morning, while the return service will leave Edinburgh at 12:10 p.m. and land in Boston at 2:22 p.m. the same afternoon.
Since launching transatlantic service a few years ago, JetBlue has grown its network to feature Amsterdam, Dublin, Edinburgh, Paris, Madrid, and London. Next summer, the airline will operate up to seven daily nonstop flights from Boston to these European destinations.
As JetBlue grows its network of leisure destinations, travelers can enjoy its Core product starting at $499 roundtrip, featuring extra legroom compared to other airlines, a tapas-style menu, and a refreshed inflight entertainment system. For those seeking added comfort, the airline’s Airbus A321 fleet offers 24 Mint business class seats, with limited-time fares starting at $2,799 for Madrid and $2,999 for Edinburgh.
